(VOVworld) - A seminar entitled “Urgent issues of Vietnamese studies” took place in Moscow yesterday to look at the two countries’ relations. Presentations covered issues of the Vietnam-Russia strategic partnership from the late 19th century, its development and prosperity, and studies on Vietnamese history, language and culture. Professor of history Sergey Luzianin, Acting Director of the Institute of Far East Studies: “The seminar is held annually on Uncle Ho’s birth anniversary. It brings us new lessons each year, which are significant to socio-political studies, for example the Vietnam’s renewal model which has been drawing attention from Russian political scientists. Such model is interesting, promising and momentous. We also propose that relevant agencies should adopt policies to boost the Vietnam-Russia ties”.
The seminar was hosted by Center for Vietnamese studies and Southeast Asian studies at the Institute of Far Eastern Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences.
