SEA Games 29: Vietnam’s swimmers grab one gold, two bronzes

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnamese swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien yesterday won a gold medal in the women’s 100m backstroke category at the ongoing 29th Southeast Asia Games (SEA Games 29) in Malaysia.

This is the first time Vien triumphed in this category at the region’s largest sport event. The same day, Le Thi My Thao secured a silver medal in the women’s 200m butterfly category. Meanwhile, both Paul Le Nguyen and Nguyen Huu Kim Son finished third in the men’s 50m backstroke and 400m freestyle events respectively, bringing home two bronze medals. Yesterday Wushu artists bagged two more silver medals. To date, Vietnam ranks third on the table tally.
