Seminar on anti-corruption at local level
(VOV) – A seminar prior to the 11th dialogue on anti-corruption in the Central and Central highland regions has taken place in Da Nang city.
The event was held by the Government Inspectorate, the Office of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and the UK’s Department of International Development. The seminar focused on anti-corruption measures and sentences, cooperation between local agencies in anti-corruption inspections, prosecutions and judgment of corruption cases. The new measures will be introduced to provincial people’s councils and fatherland fronts. Tran Duc Luong is Deputy Head of the Government Inspectorate: "The seminar focused on anti-corruption at local levels. The participants discussed surveys, the outcomes of research and debated lessons learnt from anti-corruption initiatives internationally. The participants put forward proposals and measures to combat corruption at local and national levels".
The outcomes of the regional forums will serve as the basis for discussions at the 11th anti-corruption dialogue in Hanoi later next month.
