(VOVworld) – Hoi An has hosted a seminar on poverty reduction and stable job generation in the tourism sector.

The seminar was held by the International Labor Organization Office in Vietnam and Quang Nam province’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The participants discussed Vietnam’s tourism situation and employment opportunities, especially for the poor. The ILO is implementing a project to promote tourism in Quang Nam’s inland districts with a total investment capital of around 1.35 million USD. The seminar discussed ILO’s Convention on basic working conditions at hotels and restaurants and ideas for sustainable tourism development.
