(VOV) – The German think tank KAS and the Vietnamese Journalist Association on Monday held a seminar the role of the media during sustainable economic development in Vietnam, with economic journalists and news agencies from Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and host Vietnam taking part.

The participants said that the current media now covers most in global issues such as economic growth indexes, climate change and the economic crisis. They underlined that journalists need to acquire knowledge of sustainable economic development to be able to report the issue in a correct and interesting way. Laos and Thai journalists also talked of initiatives and experiences that enable journalist to write about the economy, including legal frameworks, communication programs that are focused on sustainable development.
