Senior leaders meet voters after National Assembly session

(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly deputies met with voters in their constituencies on Monday to announce the outcomes of the just-concluded 9th plenary session of the National Assembly.

Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh told voters in Hieu Thanh commune in Vinh Long province that elections for the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels will be held next May 23rd. The voters praised the Party, State and Government for containing the COVID-19 epidemic, for putting people’s health ahead of economic considerations, and for a 2.6 billion USD aid package to those most disadvantaged by the epidemic.

Meeting with Vo Van Thuong, Head of the Central Commission for Communications and Education, in Xuân Phú commune, Dong Nai province, village patriarch Hung Van Xung, who represents the local Chau Ro ethnic minority, thanked the Party and State for their support and urged them to devise more policies to help the Chau Ro enjoy a better life.

The same day, the National Assembly delegation of Thanh Hoa province, led by Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly Uong Chu Luu, met with voters in Trieu Son district to report on major socio-economic developments, including COVID-19 prevention and control.

In Binh Dinh, Minister of Education and Training Phung Xuan Nha and local legislators met with members of the provincial Fatherland Front.
