(VOVworld) – The Sinh village wrestling festival in Thua Thien Hue province opened on Wednesday and involved hundreds of competitors. Tran Hieu Co, Chairman of Phu Mau commune’s People’s Committee and head of the festival’s organizing board, said: “The festival is held annually on the 10th day of the first lunar month. Although this year’s festival has seen a large number of competitors and spectators, all necessary measures have been taken to ensure security and order.”
The Sinh village wrestling festival has a 500-year history.
