Social distancing recommended until end of month

(VOVWORLD) - Social distancing should be in place at least until the end of April because of the worldwide Covid-19 complications and domestic hotspots which are posing threats to local community transmission, according to some members of the national committee for Covid-19 response.
Social distancing recommended until end of month - ảnh 1 Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long.

At an online meeting on Monday, the committee insisted on continued Covid-19 countermeasures at international border gates.

“The majority of opinions we have collected advocate social distancing. Some suggested the enforcement should be flexible," said Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long.

"Social distancing should not be necessarily imposed all over Vietnam, but to different degrees in high-risk localities and regions. Extending social distancing is necessary once there is a high likelihood of community transmission,” he noted.

Committee members agreed that monitoring those having had contact with cases of infection and practising social distancing are the most effective solutions in tackling Covid-19
