South Korea, US begin joint cybersecurity exercise

(VOVWORLD) -South Korea and the US began a joint cybersecurity exercise Monday to strengthen their combined readiness posture against potential cybersecurity threats from enemies.

The Cyber Alliance drills, slated to run through Friday, are taking place at a training facility in Maryland, involving Korea's Cyber Operation Command and the US Cyber Command.

During the exercise, the second since last year, personnel from both countries will practice rapid information sharing and response procedures during simulated digital attacks.

The two nations also plan to expand digital cooperation through joint exercises, intelligence sharing, participation in multinational drills, and the exchange of technical expertise and specialized personnel.
