Spring program raises 4.6 million USD for pandemic-affected children

(VOVWORLD) - The 2022 Spring for Children program raised 4.6 million USD to support disadvantaged and pandemic-affected children at the 15th edition of the program held in Hanoi Sunday night.

Themed “For a bright future”, the annual program screened reports on the suffering of children during the pandemic and the compassion shown by benefactors. 

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, who is also Chairwoman of the National Fund for Vietnamese Children Sponsorship Council, said, she hopes and believes that “families, organizations, schools, and benefactors will continue to support the cause of caring for, educating, and protecting children, and contribute to the National Fund for Vietnamese Children in particular."

Madam Xuan affirmed, "No child will be left behind. We are helping all children to live and study in the best possible conditions and become productive citizens of the country in the future.”

In 14 previous editions, the Spring for Children program has raised 53 million USD and helped one million disadvantaged children.
