Warmly welcoming the King and the high-ranking delegation of Cambodia, President Cuong expressed his delight at the continuous strengthening and robust development of their bilateral friendship and comprehensive cooperation in recent years.
He said delegation exchanges and contacts at all levels have occurred regularly; defense and security cooperation has been enhanced; and economic, trade, and investment ties have been strengthened. Collaboration in education, training, culture, healthcare, and people-to-people exchanges has been steadily expanded.
State President Luong Cuong said: “King Norodom Sihamoni's visit to Vietnam this time will be a great source of encouragement for the development of bilateral relations, and strengthen the good neighborliness between Vietnam and Cambodia for the benefit and happiness of the two peoples.”

King Sihamoni called his trip a continuation of the historical journey begun by his father, the late King Norodom Sihanouk, and other leaders.
He said the regular exchange of high-level visits has played a key role in strengthening and expanding friendship and solidarity between the two countries, as well as increasing bilateral cooperation in all areas for the mutual benefit of their peoples.
King Sihamoni said the Government and people of Vietnam are true friends who always stand side by side with the Government and people of Cambodia, and support Cambodia in reaping many successes across all fields.
