Strengthening Vietnam-Laos ties

(VOVworld)- On Monday, President Tran Dai Quang and his wife laid a wreath at the Unknown Soldiers’ Monument in Vientiane, Laos. On the same day, he visited Kaysone Phomvihane Museum, President Souphanouvong Memorial House, the families of President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Souphanouvong, and former Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong.

At a meeting with former Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong, President Tran Dai Quang briefed him on the outcomes of his talks and meetings with Laos leaders. President Quang said he hoped the former Prime Minister would continue contributing to boosting the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos. On his visits to the Kaysone Phomvihane Museum and the President Souphanouvong Memorial House, President Tran Dai Quang said the Vietnamese Party, State and people would do their utmost to enhance its special ties with Laos.

On the same day, President Quang met with Vietnamese enterprises working in Laos and Saykhong Sayasin, the Secretary General of the Lao-Vietnam Friendship Association.  Also on Monday, President Tran Dai Quang and his wife visited Champasak province.
