Strict control of essential goods prices is needed
(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai has asked ministries, sectors, and localities to closely watch market fluctuations to ensure adequate supplies of every kind of essential goods.

Mr. Khai made the request at Monday’s meeting in Hanoi on the management of prices of essential commodities - petroleum, iron, steel, fertilizer, agricultural products, and medical services and supplies.
“Forecasts and solutions are needed to stabilize prices and keep inflation under 4% as set by the National Assembly. If we can’t control prices, all the achievements we’ve made during the economic recovery and development program will be threatened,” said Mr. Khai.
He also called for flexible operations to keep the macro-economy stable, harmonize fiscal and monetary policies, and prevent a negative impact on price controls.
