(VOVworld) A pilot program to dissolve People’s Committees at district and ward’s level in Ho Chi Minh City has received strong support from the local people and authorities at all levels. The city has simplified its apparatus and applied appropriate measures to avoid overlappings among agencies and improve the performance of the state agencies while encouraging grassroots democracy. People’s supervision through the Fatherland Front’s Committee and social and political organizations at municipal level continues to improve. This has helped successfully mobilize all people’s resources, thus contributing to fulfilling the country’s socio-economic and defense tasks.
