Symposium spotlights President Ho Chi Minh’s aspiration for independence, freedom, happiness

(VOVWORLD) - President Ho Chi Minh’s aspiration for independence, freedom and happiness was highlighted at a symposium held via videoconference on Tuesday.

Participants said that President Ho Chi Minh considers national independence a prerequisite for people's freedom and happiness, adding that his aspirations for independence, freedom and happiness became a great motivation and strength for the Vietnamese people to overcome difficulties and challenges.

Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Dinh Phong, from the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, said that Ho Chi Minh aspired for liberation and development. The desire for liberation pushed him to spread Marxism-Leninism among patriotic movements in Vietnam and prepared all conditions of politics, ideology, theory, organization, and cadres for the establishment of a truly revolutionary party, Phong added.

Deputy Director of the Academy Le Van Loi said President Ho Chi Minh’s will for independence, freedom and happiness should continue to be applied and developed to promote Vietnam’s tradition of patriotism, solidarity, and self-resilience, helping to build a strong country with democracy, justice, civilization, and wealthy people.
