(VOVworld) – An attack targeting the largest train station in the capital Urumqi of Chinese’s Xinjiang autonomous region killed at least 3 people and injuring 79 others.

Police initial investigation results revealed that assailants attacked crowds with knives and set off explosions at the same time. The Wednesday attack came as President Xi Jinping wrapped up a four-day visit to the area where he urged for resolute solutions to prevent terrorism in Xinjiang.
