(VOVworld) – Germany’s Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere has said that there are more people in Germany who could potentially commit terrorist acts than ever in the past.

The minister made the statement on Saturday, one day before the 15th anniversary of the September 11 attacks in the US. He said more than 520 people in Germany are capable of committing terrorist attacks with a further 360 “relevant” people. Germans are concerned that fighters belonging to the Islamic State may have entered Germany with the 1 million migrants’ influx last year.
