The participants urged fishing vessels, including 190 vessels currently in danger zones, to enter safe shelters. They asked localities to immediately evacuate residents living in low-lying, flood-prone, and landslide-prone areas. Nguyen Van Tien, Deputy General Director of the Vietnam Disaster Management Authority, said, "Localities should develop evacuation plans, provide residents with food and supplies, and monitor and guard vulnerable areas. It’s important to ensure stable electricity and communication systems as well as rescue forces for prompt response."
