Three more pagodas upgraded in Truong Sa island district

(VOVWORLD) - A delegation led by Colonel Ho Thanh Hoan, Deputy Director of the Political Department of the Vietnam People’s Navy wrapped up their 13-day visit to Truong Sa island district in Khanh Hoa Province on Tuesday.

During their trip, the delegation offered incense at 6 pagodas and held an inauguration ceremony for three newly restored pagodas on Truong Sa Dong, Da Tay A, and Sinh Ton Dong islands.

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha executive committee in Khanh Hoa province appointed monks as head of the pagodas following the restoration.

Truong Sa island district now has 9 pagodas as firm spiritual milestones  of national sea and island sovereignty.
