Three Vietnamese seaports in world’s top 50 with largest cargo throughput

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam currently has 3 seaports in the top 50 seaports with the largest cargo throughput in the world, according to the latest update to the list of 100 seaports by Lloyd Maritime Company (UK).

Specifically, Saigon port ranks 22nd, Hai Phong port ranks 28th and Cai Mep port ranks 32nd.

According to Lloyd, these seaports are all capable of receiving super-heavy ships. Lloyd said Vietnam is ready to develop Saigon port into a strategic partner in the supply chain.

With its impressive growth rate, Hai Phong port managed to rank 28th, up two spots from the previous ranking.

Meanwhile, Cai Mep port is said to be one of the seaports with the most rapid growth rate in the region.
