Tien Sa port expanded to become a modern container port in Asia
(VOVworld) – On Sunday, the Ministry of Transport and the Da Nang People’s Committee officially started the 2nd phase of a project to upgrade Tien Sa port.

The project has a total investment of nearly 45 million USD and will be completed within 2 years. It is expected to be able to handle 12 million tons of cargo a year. Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Nhat said:“Tien Sa Port’s upgrade and expansion are intended to bring the port up to international standards. This will have a big impact on Da Nang’s socio-economic development. The Ministry of Transport asks investors, contractors, and consultants to ensure the work is carried out on schedule and safely."
This project is expected to make Tien Sa port a major traffic junction of the East-West Economic Corridor.
