At a meeting to prepare for the upcoming National Party Congress, Mr. Trong said the personnel work must be considered a task of special significance and a key one as it relates to the survival of the Party and the regime. He asked each agency, locality and official engaging in preparations to be fully aware of their responsibility. He said the personnel affairs of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo and the Secretariat require a strict, scientific and consistent process in order to ensure democracy, fairness, purity and objectivity.
