Former Vice President Truong My Hoa, who is also chairwoman of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, said she hopes that the scholarships will encourage the students to study hard in honor of President Ho Chi Minh and Hero of the People’s Armed Forces, Vu A Dinh.
On this occasion, “Thieu Nien Tien Phong & Nhi Dong” newspaper also sponsored 15 bicycles to local students in difficult circumstances.
Vu A Dinh (1934-1949) was a young hero of the Mong ethnic group who represented the young generation of Vietnam during the national liberation and resistance against colonialism. Vu A Dinh laid down his life before turning 15.
