(VOVWORLD) - US President Donald Trump on Thursday threatened to close the US-Mexico border, complaining that Mexico and several Central American countries are not doing enough to stop the wave of migrants flooding north toward the US.

Mexico is doing nothing to help stop the flow of illegal immigrants to the US, Trump tweeted, adding that, likewise, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador have taken the US’s money for years, and do nothing. In December, Trump threatened to shut down the border with Mexico if Congress fails to fund his proposed wall.
