Turkey detains 17 foreign IS-linked suspects in Ankara
(VOVWORLD) - Turkish police on Thursday detained 17 foreign nationals in Ankara suspected of being linked to the Islamic State (IS) group, the semi-official Anadolu Agency reported.
The Ankara police department had been keeping track of the suspects for a while, the report said.
Turkey has been hit by a number of IS attacks since 2013, including 10 suicide bombings, which killed more than 300 people and injured hundreds more.
The number of detained IS suspects in Turkey has increased in the past few weeks.
