(VOVWORLD) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday voiced Turkey's "readiness to do its utmost for the realization of high-level Russia-Ukraine meetings".

Erdogan made the remarks during a phone conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky. Erdogan told Zelensky that Turkey will continue to contribute to Ukraine's security after peace has been achieved.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to “come to the negotiating table,” following a phone call with US President Donald Trump and Zelensky.
