(VOVworld) – Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has been named the new Prime Minister replacing Tayyip Erdogan. Davutoglu is the leader of Tukey’s ruling Justice and Development Party. Erdogan, who was elected president, said on Thursday that the ruling party will vote on Mr. Davutoglu’s appointment next Wednesday and he will be inaugurated the following day.

Davutoglu, 55, is one of the founders of the Justice and Development Party. He has been Turkey’s Foreign Minister since 2009.
