To accelerate progress and meet the deadline, local authorities have mobilized funding and enlisted support from the armed forces, youth unions, mass organizations, and local communities.
According to Ma Quang Hieu, Deputy Director of Tuyen Quang Province’s Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, replacing substandard housing also creates opportunities for poor households in remote and ethnic minority areas to escape poverty and improve the quality of life.
“The provincial steering committee has worked closely with local authorities to implement the program. To date, more than 90% of the work has been completed, and the remainder is expected to be finished within about 20 days until August 31,” said Hieu.
