UNESCO recognition sought for Vi Dam folklore singing in Nghe Tinh - ảnh 1

(VOVworld) – Vi-Dam folk singing from the central provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh has been nominated for UNESCO recognition as part of the World Intangible Heritage. The application dossier is being finalized for submitting to the UNESCO late this month. Vi-Dam singing reflects the working and cultural lives of people in the coastal provinces and is popular in more than 250 villages in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces. There are dozens of lyrics demonstrating daily life, history, land and people enriched with Vietnamese traditions and culture.
