Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, Head of the Vietnamese Permanent Mission to the United Nations (UN), voiced his concerns over the trauma that continued sexual violence in conflict has caused on women and children, the vulnerable people in a society. He stressed the significance of the survivor-centered approach, calling for worldwide attention to a comprehensive approach and problem eradication.

To intensify efforts aiming at prevent and end sexual violence in conflict, Ambassador Quy suggested women empowerment in peace process and resolution making process, which requires countries around the world to join their work and share their experience with the help of the UN, its specialized units, and missions.
