Upgrade of Ngoa Van Pagoda begins

(VOVworld) – A groundbreaking ceremony for the upgrade of Ngoa Van Pagoda took place on Bao Dai Mountain in Quang Ninh province on Wednesday.
Ngoa Van Pagoda is where King-Monk Tran Nhan Tong, the founder of Truc Lam Zen Buddhism, attained Nirvana.
Most Venerable Thich Thanh Quyet, Chief of the Management Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Shangha in Quang Ninh, said: “King-Monk Tran Nhan Tong led a religious life and achieved Buddhahood at this pagoda, which is located in a place that harmonizes favorable weather, terrain, and united people. The pagoda has a breathtaking view of Thap But mountain which resembles the shape of a quill.”
