General Miller told reporters that US soldiers will leave all military bases and hand over control to the Afghan armed forces.

His statement came after NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg revealed NATO’s plan to withdraw its forces from Afghanistan beginning in May, a process which may take a few months.

US President Joe Biden said all American soldiers will leave Afghanistan by September 11, the 20th anniversary of the terrorism attack on the World Trade Center in New York.
