According China’s to Foreign Ministry, Mr. Yang said China-US relations are currently at a crucial stage and the two sides should act on the consensus reached by their leaders, strengthen bilateral exchanges at all levels, stay in close contact over economic and trade issues, and respect each other’s core interests and major concerns.

Pompeo said there is a huge potential for cooperation between the US and China, adding that the US attaches great importance to its relations with China.

Yang underscored China’s stance on denuclearization, peace, the stability of the Korean peninsula, and the settlement of issues through dialogue and consultation. China hopes all parties will consider the China-proposed “dual-track” approach: promoting denuclearization on the peninsula and establishing a peace mechanism.
