(VOVworld) - A US Navy carrier strike group was moving toward the Korean Peninsula on Saturday.

Commander Dave Benham, spokesman at US Pacific Command said that US Pacific Command ordered the Carl Vinson supper carrier to depart from Singapore northwards. The move came amid rising tension in the Korean Penisula after North Korea test fired its ballistic missile on April 5.
