(VOVworld) - US enterprises are considering Vietnam as a priority market in the ASEAN region for their business and investment expansion in 2017.

The US Chamber of Commerce and the American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (Amcham Singapore) has issued the latest result of its 2017 ASEAN Business Outlook Survey.

40% of the surveyed companies said Vietnam is the leader among ASEAN member states attracting investment from American firms who intend to diversify their investments or businesses over the next two years from China into ASEAN.

About half of the surveyed American enterprises said the formation of the ASEAN Economic Community will bring positive effects for US investment and business in Vietnam.

Meanwhile more than half the respondents said that the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) will have an impact on their investment plans in Vietnam and ASEAN in general.

The 2017 edition marks the fifteenth year of the survey and the fourth year in which the data has been collected from all ten ASEAN member countries.

The report is gathered from the opinions of thousands of CEOs of American firms who are members of the Amcham Singapore and American Chambers of Commerce in ASEAN.
