The signing of the agreement on Tuesday was in the framework of the Ho Chi Minh City-US Business Summit and is part of activities celebrating the 25th anniversary of normalized diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the US.

The smart city operation center is included in a master plan to transform Vietnam’s southern economic hub into a smart city by 2020 and vision to 2025. The center will be the “brain” of the smart city, collecting and analyzing real-time data to help decision-makers govern, plan, and shape the future development of Ho Chi Minh City.
