(VOVworld) – The US and NATO are seeking to turn Ukraine into a source of long-term controlled instability that damages Russia’s geopolitical interests.
General Valery Gerasimov, chief of the Russian General Staff, told foreign military attachés in Moscow on Wednesday that the West has posted forged documents on the internet about the participation of Russian troops in the conflict in Ukraine’s Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
Gerasimov accused Western countries of seeking to degrade Russia’s military-economic power and the offensive capability of the Russian strategic nuclear forces through the US Global Ballistic Missile Defense System.
