US Navy hospital ship docks at Vung Ro port for Pacific Partnership
(VOVWORLD) -The hospital ship USNS Mercy of US Military Sealift Command on Sunday arrived at Vung Ro port to carry out healthcare community activities in Phu Yen central province.

Phu Yen is the ship’s first destination in the Pacific Partnership 2022 (PP22) which marks its 17th year of annual multinational mission for disaster relief preparedness and humanitarian assistance in the Indo-Pacific region.
In Vietnam, the PP22 team consisting of representatives from Australia, Japan, the UK and the US will work with Vietnamese partners on a range of activities and projects to benefit locals. Team members will be involved health care activities related to internal medicine and dentistry, building new classrooms for some primary schools, and sharing disaster response expertise.
The Pacific Partnership program will open at Nghinh Phong Square, Tuy Hoa City, on Monday evening.
