(VOVWORLD) - US and Philippine troops on Wednesday conducted a joint air defense missile exercise as part of the live-fire drill between the two militaries taking place at a naval base north of Manila.

The Patriot surface-to-air missile system and Stinger missiles were used during the training. The exercise is an annual joint military training, which is taking place in the Philippines from April 11 to April 28.
Around 17,600 troops, the most ever, are participating in drills intended to enhance interoperability.
