The speech summarized Trump’s first year in office and outlined his plans for 2018, which will focus on building a safe, strong, and proud America. The US President mentioned the economy and employment, infrastructure, immigrants, international trade, and national security. Trump’s strategy is drawn from his “America First” policy, which helped him win the presidential election in 2016.
