US records 110 acts of anti-Asian bias since March 2020: The New York Times
(VOVWORLD) - The New York Times found more than 110 cases of anti-Asian bias in the US since March, 2020, in which there was clear evidence of racial hate.
Based on media reports, the site said that hate as a motive is historically difficult to prove. The tally arrived at by The Times may be only a sliver of the violence and harassment that people of Asian descent have faced over the last year. Hate crimes are generally underreported and only the most egregious accounts become headlines. It is possible that the number of episodes reported to law enforcement authorities and the media have increased, not the number of episodes.
