The Vietnamese representatives handed over to the US side two boxes of remains that were recovered during the 127th Joint Field Activities from April to June 2017. The US Government representative expressed deep gratitude and appreciation for the steadfast humanitarian policy, good-will, and efficient cooperation of the Government and people of Vietnam. The search for remains of US servicemen missing since the war in Vietnam is a prime example of the humanitarian cooperation between the Governments of Vietnam and the US. This is the 141st hand-over of American missing servicemen’s remains since 1973.
