Around 40 Navy ships from both countries, including the nuclear-powered USS Ronald Reagan aircraft carrier and 2 Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyers, are taking part in the exercises on the east and west coasts of the peninsula. The US’s 7th Fleet said these exercises aim to enhance “communications, interoperability, and partnership” between the two nations.
