Jeh Johnson, the US Secretary of Homeland Security, said on Monday that travellers from Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries would have to provide more information filling in a form in the Electronic System for Travel Authorisation. This method is expected to help US security forces identify terrorist threats and tighten VWP regulations.
The US has met with allies to discuss new plans to fight the Islamic State (IS). A statement from the US State Department said that the meeting was an opportunity for US partners to reaffirm their commitment to combating the IS and propose plans for future campaigns.
