(VOVWORLD) - US Trade Representative Katherine Tai will travel to Vietnam, Malaysia and Germany next week.
Ambassador Tai will be in Hanoi from Monday to Wednesday to meet with Vietnamese government officials, including those at the Ministries of Investment, Trade and Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador Tai’s trip to Hanoi comes as the US and Vietnam prepare in 2023 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their Comprehensive Partnership, which has since strengthened the overall relationship and deepened bilateral trade and investment, according to the Office of the US Trade Representative.
Ambassador Tai will also meet with labor stakeholders and private sector representatives to discussed opportunities for increased cooperation with the US and share the Biden Administration’s priorities for the region, including the ongoing negotiations on the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework.
Ambassador Tai will visit Malaysia on February 16 and Germany from February 17.
