Venezuelan President urges armed forces to defend democracy
(VOVWORLD) - Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Thursday called on the Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB) to maintain unity to defend the Constitution, Venezuelan democracy, and peace.

During a military parade in Caracas, Maduro said Venezuela has a military that is loyal, cohesive, and united as never before in the face of a coup attempt perpetrated by the opposition abetted by the US. He said Venezuela’s future is peace and solidarity, not war.
Maduro acknowledged the Venezuelan people's capacity for resistance and the exemplary performance of the FANB.
