(VOVWORLD) - President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Tran Thanh Man wished Catholics a happy Easter holiday when visiting Archbishop of the Hanoi Archdiocese Cardinal Pierre Nguyen Van Nhon on Tuesday.

Mr. Man urged Catholic dignitaries and followers to further participate in social activities and environmental protection movements launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Cardinal Archbishop Nhon promised to invite Catholics to contribute to national development. During a visit to the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North), Mr. Man expressed his belief that Pastor Nguyen Huu Mac will mobilize Catholic followers to respond to patriotic movements and make practical contributions to the nation toward the 70th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s Patriotic Emulation Appeal.

Pastor Mac, Head of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North) affirmed the Church will bring into play its achievements to contribute to national development.
