Meeting with Venerable Thich Duc Thanh, Head of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Council in Thua Thien Hue province, the VFF leader wished Buddhist dignitaries and followers a joyful holiday and urged for further national unity. He asked the local authorities and relevant agencies to pay more attention to religious activities and the restoration of worshiping establishments. He said: "Buddhist dignitaries and followers in Thua Thien hue province have effectively implemented emulation movements launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front and actively participated in humanitarian activities. I hope that the Vietnam Buddhist Shangha will successfully organize the 2017-2022 Buddhism Congress.”

The VFF delegation presented 3 charity houses worth 2,000 USD each to 3 disadvantaged families in Huong Thuy commune, Thua Thien Hue province.
