At a meeting with the Filipino newly-elected Vice President Sara Duterte, Mrs. Xuan and her counterpart expressed their delight at the fine strategic partnership between the two countries and agreed to promote the exchange of delegations at all levels, resume cooperation affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, and step up trade and investment promotion measures, especially rice trading as international trade is being heavily impacted by the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
The two leaders agreed to further cooperation in education, promote people-to-people exchange, work closely to ensure peace, stability, and cooperation in the East Sea, implement the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea, and advocate the signing of the Code of Conduct of Parties in the East Sea.
