Vietnam 1954-1975 War Drawings and Posters on display in Singapore

(VOVworld) – A collection of drawings and posters on Vietnam War from 1954 to 1975 is on display for the first time at the museum of the National University of Singapore (NUS). The collection belongs to Dato' N Parameswaran, the former Malaysian Ambassador to Vietnam from 1990 to 1993.

This exhibition features a selection of the collection, on loan to NUS Museum for three years, comprising posters, woodcuts and drawings from the French phase of the Indochinese war of resistance against the Americans, and drawings and sketches of life and people at the front lines. The collection is an important documentation of the Vietnamese response to the war and its perspective of history that is usually remembered through international reportage and popular culture. The collection is expected to be on display in NUS museum for 3 years.
